GOOGLE LAUNCHES MESSAGING APP "ALLO"

Couple of days ago, Evan Blass, a mobile reporter at VentureBeat and a popular phone leaker, revealed Google will launch Allo on September 21, 2016.

Google has indeed launched the smart messaging app, and all I can say is Ev Blass is the most righteous dude I know right now (How does he come up with these predictions?).

Allo is not just another messaging app. It packs amazing features that makes chatting simple and more fun. The features are described below.

Smart Reply

This feature enables users to respond to chats more quickly (sometimes by just a tap) by bringing up words you’ve used in previous convos. It also suggest words for photos too!

Smart Reply will continue to improve as you use it and adjust to your style.

Google Assistant

This feature helps to reduce toggling between apps by assisting with anything you might need when chatting. Just type @google to bring your Assistant into any group chat.

Google Assistant can help you make plans with friends, get answers, and have some fun. Users can also have a one-one-one convo with the Assistant.

Incognito mode

Because security is an important issue, this feature ensures your chats are encrypted using industry standard technologies likeTransport Layer Security (TLS).

When you chat in Incognito mode, messages have end-to-end encryption and additional privacy features like discreet notifications and message expiration.

Photos, emojis and stickers

Google Allo has a vast array of photos, emojis and stickers to express yourself and make your convos more fun.

Users can scribble on photos, and make emojis and text larger or smaller in size by simply dragging the “send” button up or down.

There are over 25 custom sticker packs, made by independent artists and studios around the world, for users to play around with.
